Step One, Survey & Selection

Even a journey of a thousand miles must start with the first step… The original window was good for allowing more light into the room but our customer wanted to gain some outdoor space to enjoy the forthcoming spring weather. Careful measurements were taken to minimise the modifications to their roof and a suitable Cabrio® window unit was ordered.

With such a wide range of sizes. Replacing an existing window is simplicity itself and the new unit was delivered and unpacked ready to go into place.

Step Two - Preparation

Carefully removing the plasterboard below the original window reveals the roof trusses modified when that one was fitted. These will need further modification to give full height clearance to fit the new Cabrio® window with built in balcony unit.

Step Three - Final Pre-Fitment Checks

The window aperture in the roof has been enlarged and the remainder of the modified timbers removed. Everything is carefully checked at this stage and the customer's roof was in perfect condition so fitting the new window and balcony can go ahead right away with no making good required.
